(pictured above: this year’s fall State Rep candidates)
The second NAFCC State Representative election is underway with NAFCC members in the following 14 States voting for their leaders: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
The powerhouse lineup of candidates offers a variety of family child care, volunteer and leadership experience. Once elected, they will join the NAFCC State Reps elected in March 2021 (check out our interactive map here).
One theme that is clear from every candidate is a collective dedication and passion for all of you, NAFCC, and for the profession of family child care.
We asked applicants to share what they would like to achieve in their first term as a new NAFCC State Representative. Here are just a few of the inspiring things they shared:
“to organize small networking groups all over my state.”
“to empower providers to learn more about NAFCC and NAFCC Accreditation.”
“to increase family child care being invited to the discussions and included when high quality childcare is discussed.”
“to further the narrative of professionalism in early childhood education and empower providers.”
“to add value to policy and to expand and promote Family Child Care.”
We will be announcing the election results after Thanksgiving – good luck to all the candidates!
