Each year, on the Friday before Mother’s Day, NAFCC joyfully takes the lead un celebrating Family Child Care Providers. With nearly 123,837 licensed/regulated family child care programs serving children and families nationally, we must acknowledge the essential workforce family child care providers represent and honor the work of their hands.
Learn more about NAFCC’s Leadership Project, designed to amplify the voices of FCC educators across the country to inform federal policy and practice priorities while building the capacity of state associations and local partners.
NAFCC seeks to ensure FCC is recognized and represented as a critical and equal part of the ECE system. Collectively we can be powerful at the decision-making tables, making important contributions to child development and family economic security.
Many family child care providers are struggling during this pandemic. The permanent impact may not be currently clear, but it is obvious that providers need immediate federal funding put in place to stabilize their programs.
