Accreditation Processing Specialist
Elizabeth Mua is a bilingual early childhood education professional with more than a decade of experience rooted in family child care. Her work has been shaped by years of supporting home-based educators as they navigate quality standards, accreditation, and the day-to-day realities of running programs that serve children and families, including her own experience working as a co-educator in a family child care setting. Elizabeth believes deeply in the power of family child care as relationship-centered, community-based care, and she is passionate about ensuring that home educators are recognized, respected, and supported as skilled professionals within the early learning ecosystem. Her perspective is grounded in lived experience working directly alongside family child care providers and understanding the challenges they face balancing compliance, quality, and care. Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University, is a Project Management Professional (PMP), and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Education Policy at Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on K–12 policy and a commitment to elevating early education prior to kindergarten to help bridge gaps across the early learning continuum.
