Arabic Caucus Leader
Najwa Dahdah is the Founder and CEO of Empowered Child Care Consulting, Inc. and Empowered Community Outreach Services, a non-profit organization. With over 25 years in Early Childhood Education (ECE), she began her career as a family then group home child care provider. She is currently the Director of the Family Childcare Network program within her organization serving Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties in Michigan. Fluent in Arabic, she plays multiple roles including CDA Trainer, mentor, Professional Development Specialist, Pre-K CLASS observer and CDA Council Midwest Region CAN Ambassador. Najwa has trained over 3,500 Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) students. She has supported the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children by conducting CDA resource days. Najwa holds a master’s in early childhood education leadership/Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a bachelor’s in early childhood education from Rochester University. She is renowned for her work with bilingual and underserved communities, focusing on improving quality and language accessibility in ECE. She is committed to advancing culturally and linguistically responsive education and leads Arabic translation services for the ECE community.
