Welcome Andrea Maldonado, Director of Quality Assessment & Recognition
We are excited to announce another addition to the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) team, Andrea Maldonado, as our Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation. Andrea brings 13 years of valuable experience in family child care and early childhood education to our organization.
Throughout her career, Andrea has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to professional development and the recognition of family and child care educators and played a key role in raising the high standards for family and child care providers. In her last role, Andrea was instrumental in bringing the NYC Department of Education’s 3-K to family child care networks and FCC programs.
Andrea brings a wealth of experience in program development, workforce development, and leadership coaching. As the Director of Quality Assessment and Recognition, Andrea is well equipped to advocate for family child care educators and ensure they receive appropriate recognition for their important role in the child care system.
Welcome Eboni Delaney, Member Relations and Policy Support Manager
We’d also like to welcome Eboni Delaney, Member Relations and Policy Support Manager, to NAFCC’s staff.
Eboni is a leader in the field of early childhood education and her unwavering dedication to family child care support and advocacy is evident in her commitment to empowering educators and fostering equitable representation. With a focus on the vital role of family child care in early childhood education, Eboni demonstrates proficiency in strategic initiatives, community engagement, member relations, and project management.
Before joining NAFCC, Eboni excelled as Director of Early Education Apprenticeships, where she registered and implemented the first early education apprenticeship in Texas. This accomplishment underscored her innovative approach and dedication to advancing educational opportunities for aspiring early childhood educators.
As she looks ahead, Eboni aspires to amplify the voices of family child care educators, advocate for policy changes, and create ongoing opportunities that enhance the lives of families and children. Her vision is to shape a future where every family child care educator is recognized, supported, and celebrated for their invaluable contribution to the well-being of our youngest learners and communities.
Zakenya Neely: Promoted to Director of Strategic Partnerships and Market Solutions
Zakenya has been an invaluable member of the NAFCC team, and her dedication to our mission and vision has significantly contributed to the growth and success of our organization. As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Zakenya will play a pivotal role in leading the NAFCC National Team. Her responsibilities include developing and executing a highly strategic, innovative, and collaborative plan to identify and engage critical Family and Early Childhood Education community stakeholders.
Zakenya will ensure that NAFCC continues to be recognized as a leader in addressing early care and education issues unique to the family child care sector. Zakenya’s role will encompass several essential functions, including developing and maintaining NAFCC’s Partnership Strategy, leveraging partnerships for successful strategy implementation, and raising NAFCC’s profile as a thought leader in the ECE industry. She will also serve as the first point of contact for organizations interested in partnering with NAFCC, while cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with potential funding or sponsoring groups.
We are confident that Zakenya, Eboni, and Andrea’s knowledge, passion, and commitment will contribute significantly to NAFCC’s mission to promote high-quality early childhood education and support family child care providers across the country.
