Ronald Jarrett, J.D.

Director of Policy and Public Affairs

Ronald Jarrett brings extensive experience in policy advocacy and community organizing as the Director of Policy and Public Affairs at the National Association for Family Child Care. The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high-quality child care by strengthening the profession of home-based early learning programs. Before joining NAFCC, Ronald served as State Organizing Director for the North Carolina Community Coalition, where he mobilized over 4,400 community leaders to achieve policy and electoral outcomes. Before that, Ronald held leadership roles at the Council for a Strong America, leading policy advocacy across 22 states and Congress. Ronald also served as Director of Public Policy for the Office of Mayor Pedro Segarra in Hartford, CT, where he developed legislative agendas and launched programs like the Hartford City ID. Driven by a lifelong commitment to public service and his family’s legacy of organizing, Ronald is dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions for family child care educators. Ronald holds a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, with professional certifications in Strategic Planning from Columbia Business School and Advanced Fundraising from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
